activ8 (K-8) is a school-based physical activity challenge program.

activ8 (K-8) consists of eight pre-planned lessons for each grade (K-8) including warm-ups, cool-downs and everything in-between.

Each lesson has fun physical activity challenges that help students of all abilities develop their fitness and skill levels.

activ8 (K-8)… Easy to use and FREE too!

activ8 (9-12)

activ8 has created a school-based program for high schools called  activ8 Your MOGA (MOGA stands for Most Outrageous Group Activity)

The project is a collaboration between Active Healthy Kids Canada (managed by Ophea in Ontario) and CAHPERD (Canadian Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance).

During the month of May 2004, 44 schools across Canada (14 in Ontario) were challenged to implement a one-time school-wide activity, planned and organized by students AND teachers that involved a large percentage of students. Organizers were provided with an event manual outlining how to create the event. The manual included items such as general criteria (e.g safety, activity times, teacher involvement), posters, checklists and activity ideas. Schools were challenged to be active however they wanted to be!

activ8 Your MOGA will be available to all schools for the 2004/2005 school year.
