The Foundation for Active Healthy Kids is an expert on
physical activity for Canadian kids.

The Foundation for Active Healthy Kids (The Foundation) was established as a national charitable organization in 1994. Since its inception, The Foundation has become a passionate voice for the development of active, healthy children and youth in Canada. The Foundation believes that children, regardless of their gender, cultural heritage or the economic status of their families or communities, should have access to quality physical activity programs. To that end, The Foundation focuses its attention and resources on:

  • Raising public awareness and knowledge of the importance of physical activity;
  • Building the capacity of schools, communities and families to provide quality programming;
  • Supporting the development of comprehensive, effective public policies and strategies.

The Foundation will work in partnership with others to ensure a future where all children and youth will value, participate in, and have the skills necessary to make a lifelong commitment to active, healthy lives.
