Take our challenge to get kids active

Active Healthy Kids Day 2002

Over a quarter of a million kids across Canada set a World Record for doing the Hokey Pokey!

In keeping with the theme of World Health Day 2002 -"Move for Health" - Active Healthy Kids Canada collaborated with several key organizations to challenge Canada's schools to set a new world record for largest simultaneous dance - all in the name of getting active!

Over 270,000 kids in more than 890 schools across Canada responded to our challenge and did the "Hokey Pokey" simultaneously at 1:15 PM EST on Tuesday, April 9th 2002.
